Paul Jacob Batte is an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda with over a decade of practical legal experience, combining a versatile dual practice across both contentious and non-contentious work. He serves as a Partner at PACT Advocates and concurrently as Legal Manager at BrandGuard Limited, a leading brand protection and intellectual property enforcement firm operating across the East African region.
His practice spans commercial litigation, intellectual property enforcement, real estate and conveyancing, corporate governance, employment law, and estate administration. Paul brings a results-driven, commercially grounded approach to every mandate, representing individuals, corporates, and institutional clients before the High Court of Uganda and its subordinate courts.
At BrandGuard Limited, Paul has developed deep expertise in anti-counterfeiting strategy, trademark enforcement operations, and IP policy, working closely with government regulatory bodies, law enforcement agencies, and multinational brand owners to combat illicit trade at scale. His notable work includes legal work in connection with the Government of Uganda’s UGX 207.13 billion share acquisition in ROKO Construction Limited.
